Everything about the Wildkogel
The gondola to the Wildkogel goes from the centre of Bramberg. This is where the taxi service takes you or you can drive with your own car. This gondola will take you to the ski area the Wildkogel, the ideal winter sports destination for families. This area had 62 km of ski runs and here children can take ski classes, parents can go skiing and grandparents take a walk to have lunch together in one of the cozy restaurants.
The Skiarena Wildkogel is located in the heart of the Kitzbuhler Alps and can be reached easily and quickly with a new gondola from the village of Bramberg. The Ski-Arena Wildkogel has 62 km of perfectly groomed slopes and 18 lifts, and is snow-sure until spring.
Skiarena Wildkogel offers wonderful conditions for families, skiers, snowboarders, carvers and deep snow specialists from December to April. For obvious reasons this area is known as: The Urlaubs-Arena Wildkogel: "Probably the friendliest holiday region in Austria".
The Wildkogel promises the best views on the three thousand meter high peaks of the Hohe Tauern National Park and the Grossvenediger (3,674 m). This is one of the best viewpoints in the Oberpinzgau.
Bramberg is unique with its 15 km long toboggan run. From the Wildkogel the toboggan path winds down with beautiful views to the valley. If you combine the tobogganing with dinner on the Wildkogel and a toboggan stop at the bar halfway, this evening is a guaranteed succes. The sleds can be best rented at the foot of the track, right before the gondola.
The 15 km long Wildkogel toboggan run has a height difference of 1300 meters. Three nights a week the course is illuminated until 22:00 and guarantees lots of snow fun, for young and old.
Everything about the Kitzbuhel ski area from Hollersbach
Together with the towns of Kitzbuhel, Jochberg and Kirchberg this is the huge Kitzbuhel ski area. This beautiful ski area is also called 'Kitz' by the experts. With your ski pass you have access to no less than 67 cable cars and lifts that will quickly take you into the 170 km of prepared pistes. One of these slopes is the Hanenkam. This is known as the fastest track in Austria. The slopes of Kitzbuhler Horn are sunny and vary from easy to intermediate. Part of the Horn has been converted into a fun park for snowboarders. The advanced skier can explore 'Kitz' through the 35 km of ski safari, the Elephant trip.
Noticeably cheaper ski areas
Bramberg and the ski areas Wildkogel and Hollersbach also distinguish themselves noticeably in the price. In this area, the prices for a cup of coffee or beer as well as the meals in the restaurants on the mountian, still make skiing in Austria affordable.
Everything about the ski area Zillertal Arena
The Gerlosplatte in Krimml together with the connected ski areas of Konigsleiten, Gerlos and Zell am Ziller form the "Zillertal Arena" with more than 160 km of prepared pistes.
The ski area is very snow-sure and offers plenty of opportunities for both the novice and the advanced skier and snowboarders. Outside the groomed slopes, the ski area offers a lot of off-piste opportunities. For the snowboarders there is a special, protected and challenging fun park.

Furthermore in the winter there are beautiful walks from Brammetje to make, there is romance to experience in the horse-drawn sleigh or you can go horseback through the winter landscape. You can also make a winter trip on special shoes through the snowy landscape under the guidance of a guide or eisstockschiessen.
The village of Bramberg where the winters are still real winters
Bramberg (850m) is a cozy village and is located in the beautiful Pinzgautall in Salzburgerland, not far from the well-known places Zell am See and Kaprun. It is centrally located between 3 extensive ski areas. A fast gondola in the center of the village takes you to the top of the Wildkogel. The Pinzgautall is known as a valley where the winters are real winters. On average it is about five degrees colder than in other valleys so that the trees along the winding river are regularly covered by hoarfrost and provide a fairytale appearance.
Shops and friendly Austrians
The village of Bramberg is a village that still belongs to the friendly Austrians who love tourism. There are cozy shops, very good restaurants, plenty of ski and toboggan rental options, a good Spar supermarket that sells quality meat and a bakery that offers daily fresh bread rolls. A doctor can also be found in the village and in Mittersill, which is10 km away, houses a hospital.
Pinzgauer Lokalbahn
The Pinzgauer Lokalbahn (the local railway through Pinzgau) has been reinstated. This narrow track (S-Bahn), with a width of 760 mm, was damaged in 2005 by a flood between Bramberg and (Vorder) Krimml. The railway has been completely restored and now forms the connection in the Salzach Valley between Zell am See and (Vorder) Krimml. With the local small train on this route you can also make various trips in the winter. Enjoy, for example, a nostalgic tour of the snowy Pinzgau. The ski enthusiasts can use this train for transport to the Hollersbach Panoramabahn. This lift will then take you to the ski resort of Kitzbuhel. That is still something different as the ski bus!
For everyone there is something to do
Whether you are a hiker, cross-country skier, starting or advanced skier, enthusiastic toboggan, or not so active and want to enjoy the tranquility of nature and phenomenal views from your chair, Chalet Brammetje is the ideal starting point for everyone. And for everyone, including the not so active, the luxurious Chalet Brammetje is located on the Sonnberg at an altitude of about 1000 m and overlooks the entire Pinzgautall, which is surrounded by the snowy peaks of the Hohe Tauern nature reserve.
Lunch together near the lift
During the holidays you want to spend time together. So why not go out and have lunch together at one of the cozy restaurants near the lift? After lunch, the skiers go up the mountain again and the walkers can take the beautiful trail back to Chalet Brammetje.
Restaurants within walking distance and the apres-ski
Within walking distance from Chalet Brammetje are 2 restaurants with beautiful terraces and views. The apres-skier can go to the apres-ski near by the gondola.
The Hohe Tauern nature reserve
Every day the view on the Hohe Tauern is different. The sunny Chalet Brammetje is wonderfully overlooking the village and the valley surrounded by the snowy peaks of the Hohe Tauern nature reserve. It is different every moment of the day. One can walk to Bramberg, and the shops, restaurants, terraces and apres-ski. With the (steam) train along the thick-ripened river to Mittersill or Zell am See. Experience a day of wellness in the nearby town of Wald, visit museums or the Krimmler Wasserfalle.
